Tonight is date night with my husband! We haven’t had a date in a while, and I’m so excited to spend some time with him, just the two of us. I really must thank Tailor and Stylist for my date night because my husband got the idea after taking the photos for this post…
Tailor and Stylist (www.TandS.com) is an online boutique started by Jon (tailor) and Grace (stylist), husband and wife team. Their clothing is inspired by tailored, feminine, nostalgic style. Jon was one of the youngest bespoke tailors to have worked on Rodeo Drive, and Grace is a fashion stylist with nearly a decade of credits in the industry (and also one of the sweetest people I have ever worked with!).
You can check out their recent lookbook photo shoot here. They strive to make all of their flattering, high-styled pieces affordable for all budgets. The selection is amazing, and I am in love with their dresses!
I was given the opportunity to review the Polka Dot dress by Tailor and Stylist. The dress is amazingly tailored, with attention to detail, high-quality material, and modest! Modesty is very important to me, and I love that this dress falls at my knee, and is not low-cut or revealing.
The one word I would use to describe Tailor and Stylist? Ladylike.
Finally!
In a day where Snooki, Jersey Shore trashy clothing and attitudes prevail, Tailor and Stylist is a breath of fresh air! It reminds me of vintage/retro dresses from the 50′s with the elegance and sophistication of Downton Abbey style.
I first paired it with cute little ballet flats, and it would be perfect for a casual setting. Then, for a little pop of color with the black and white, I swapped out the flats for the red heels (which I hardly ever wear).
That’s when my husband asked me out on a date!
He just can’t stop talking about this dress! I think he wants me to wear it everyday. Now, I am certainly not a model and taking these photos was not the most natural thing to me… but having my husband tell me he thinks I’m beautiful was amazing.

Oh my lands! How to choose! The Isabella, Silky Glitter and Avant Garde shirt dresses all called my name. Gorgeous & those prices are ridiculous!! Love!
They have a LOT of beautiful clothes and accessories…love the doctor bag…but love the mermaid skirt even more. Except in the winter, I wear mostly skirts, blouses and dresses for every day and to farm. In the winter, I live in sweat pants and shirts, it’s warmer. I haven’t been on FB in months, there’s not enough time in my day and I’d rather find new blog friends than FB -smile-.
