FREE eBook? {question for you}

question mark

So………… I am debating sticking one toe in the {FREE} eBook pool. It seems like lots of bloggers are offering free eBooks, and it really sounds like a fun project. I love to write, and giving has become such an important part of my life, so a free eBook seems like a good “gift” to give.

What type of eBook would interest you? Something “practical” (like recipes, how to, blogging advice, information, tutorial, organization, etc) or inspirational (encouragement, faith, devotionals, etc)? I need some fresh eyes and ears.

If I announced tomorrow (hypothetically!) that I wrote a new eBook, what would you think would be most exciting/interesting/appropriate? Thank you!

Comments

  1. I like inspirational offerings…but also the occasional tutorial, how to, and organization ebook as well. :)

    Bliss,
    Shan

  2. I would be more interested in something inspirational. I can usually find the practical things by doing a Google search, but I am always looking for inspirational offerings. :)

  3. I think that is a great, awesome, amazing idea for you. I also think you should start with a ‘practical’ book involving recipes, organization, tutorials – ‘home stuff’ like that – and then follow it up later with a devotional book. As least that’s my two-cents-slash-first-impressions for you. :)

  4. Amber B. says:

I’d like something that was inspirational. I’m always looking for those kind of ebooks!!!

  5. How about expounding upon your “101 Tips for Working Moms”. It was a great post last year.

  6. I enjoy reading books on simplicity, time management or spiritual growth.

  7. I think it’s a great idea! Inspirational would be my top choice.

  8. I’m going to depart from your other commenters and suggest you create a year’s worth of printables or printables for every season. You have a gift for this! I live inspirational stuff but there is more of that out there than I can possibly read. You could even create some inspirational printables. You need something that would go well on Pinterest and that would. The key is they don’t get the download unless they subscribe.

  9. Definitely blogging. How to make cute buttons. How to learn WordPress. How you get involved as a guest writer or ask for guest posts. How to offer free things that are only accessible to ‘subscribers’.

  10. Hi Melanie,
I would love to read an e-book about how life is Only A Breath. As busy women we need to be reminded to slow down and remember how quick life passes by. We need to enjoy those little moments (breaths) God gives us each day.
    Blessings,
    Debbie G

  11. I’m just the opposite of Anita because I belong to two women’s religious organizations, so I have tons of spiritual titles from which to choose. But organization, especially of my scrapbooking materials and photos, I could use help. help! :)

  12. Hi Melanie, I personally just love to read ebooks by bloggers on subjects they are passionate about. Anybody can provide facts, but not everyone can write with passion about a particular subject. Even short ebooks, like the manifestos on Goinswriter.com, move me if they are written by somebody who is raw, open, and convicted. Just a thought… what’s your ultimate passion? :)

  13. I think it is a good idea because we love free stuff. I would l like to know about blogging, promoting my blog, basic blog design.
