Hearts Against Hunger

Hello and welcome! I am so excited to tell you about “Hearts Against Hunger”! I am joining with together with some blog friends to raise money in a virtual food drive, and we need YOUR help! For details….. please check out my first vlog (video blog)! (When you’re done, I’ll be hiding under my bed… <blush>)

If I was hungry, would you donate only $1 for me and provide meals for my whole week? Would you give today and help children in need?

Hearts Against Hunger is a grass-roots effort to raise money for children who are hungry. Many bloggers, including Only A Breath, Time-Warp Wife, Magnolia Grace, Tammy’s Two Cents, and Faithful Always are joining together in the fight against hunger! I want to say a HUGE “THANK YOU” to these bloggers for being so willing to raise awareness of childhood hunger!

I added your button and will write a blog post about it soon! This is fabulous! As a school employee, I know just how hard the summer time is for so many kids in America…AND as an adoptive mom of two kids from Ethiopia, I also know how important it is to help those around the world…so THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart!!!

How are you keeping track of how much you raise?

4 Melanie June 27, 2011 at 3:18 pm: Thank you, Ashley! I will add you to the ‘list’ and have a special feature for your blog in the next week or two. I appreciate your help so very much! The Feeding America site has a way to enter a ‘goal’ amount and they keep track of how close (percentage-wise) we are to the goal. However, for Compassion, I don’t really have a way to track that. So, I’ll just pray that the Lord blesses the seed and multiplies it!
